Terry Pegula confident of Richie Incognito improvement

Buffalo Bills owner Terry Pegula reveals that Richie Incognito has convinced him and his staff that he has improved as a person and a teammate in his time out of the NFL.

Buffalo Bills owner Terry Pegula is confident that Richie Incognito has made strides to improve himself as a "person" and "teammate" following his involvement in the bullying scandal.

Incognito spent the 2014 season out of the NFL after he was indicted in the 2013 campaign for harassing teammate Jonathan Martin while with the Miami Dolphins.

However, the Bills have ended his time out of the league by signing the 31-year-old to a one-year deal.

"I personally met with Richie, along with Doug Whaley, Rex Ryan and Kim regarding an opportunity to earn a spot on the Buffalo Bills roster," Pegula said in a statement.

"Obviously, we all discussed Richie's past experience in the NCAA and NFL. We are convinced that Richie is prepared to move forward and has and will continue to take the necessary steps to improve himself as a person and a teammate.

"Following discussion with the rest of the coaching staff, we as an organisation will provide him with the opportunity to do so."

Incognito has played in 102 games in his 10-year NFL career.
