The Buffalo Bills crushed the New York Jets 38-3 in their AFC East clash to keep their playoff hopes alive.
The Bills were coming into the game off a week where they barely practised due to severe snowfall in Buffalo, which also forced the match to be moved to Ford Field in Detroit.
However, Doug Marrone's side showed no signs of poor preparation as quarterback Kyle Orton drove them downfield on their first possession and found Robert Woods in the endzone.
The Jets got themselves on the scoreboard at the end of the first quarter when they capitalised on a big punt return from Jeremy Kerley, but they could only score three points from the boot of Nick Folk.
Both sides struggled on offense in the second quarter until the Bills extended their lead in the latter seconds of the half when Orton fired deep downfield for Scott Chandler for a 19-yard touchdown.
In the second half, Dan Carpenter added another three points for the Bills, while matters got even better for Marrone's men when Anthony Dixon blocked a punt from the Jets in the endzone and Manny Lawson gathered for the touchdown.
Rex Ryan's side committed another costly turnover when Michael Vick threw an interception into the hands of Duke Williams, who returned the ball to the 16-yard line of the Jets. Fred Jackson powered in from five yards to all but secure his team's win.
The Bills added another score late in the fourth quarter when Orton fired deep for Woods who hauled in a 37-yard reception, and six plays later the Jets gave up another huge play as Dixon found a huge hole in the defense to coast into the endzone for a 30-yard score.
