Late Justin Tucker field goal secures Baltimore Ravens win

A last-second field goal from Justin Tucker fires the Baltimore Ravens to victory over the Cleveland Browns in their NFL clash.

Justin Tucker scored a field goal in the dying seconds to hand the Baltimore Ravens a 23-21 victory over the Cleveland Browns this evening.

The Ravens got off to a decent start as Joe Flacco moved them methodically down the field with numerous short throws to his receivers. However, the Browns' defense tightened up in the redzone and forced Tucker into a 38-yard field goal.

Cleveland hit back with a scoring drive and they managed to go one better than the Ravens as they found the endzone as running back Terrance West leaped over his offensive line and in for the one-yard score.

Baltimore responded and retook the lead as Flacco dropped back and had full-back Kyle Juszczyk wide open in the flat. He found Juszczyk who was left to walk into the endzone for a nine-yard score.

In the second half, the Browns came out and immediately drove the length of the field and went ahead again as Brian Hoyer offloaded to Isaiah Crowell and he sprinted into the endzone for a 14-yard score.

Back came the Ravens and Flacco put together another methodical drive to reach the one-yard line. After a couple of failed attempts, the quarterback handed off to Lorenzo Taliaferro who powered into the endzone for the touchdown.

At the other end, Hoyer rallied his side to the comeback as he fired to the back of the endzone for receiver Miles Austin, who made an impressive grab for a five-yard touchdown.

The Ravens blocked a field goal from Billy Cundiff to stop the Browns moving further ahead as Asa Jackson reached the effort. The visitors pulled within a point when Tucker fired a kick between the posts from the resulting drive.

Baltimore earned the victory in the dying seconds when Flacco launched a deep pass for Steve Smith to set up a 32-yard field goal, which Tucker had no problem firing through the uprights.
