Baltimore Ravens hire Gary Kubiak as offensive coordinator

The Baltimore Ravens confirm that they have hired former Houston Texans head coach Gary Kubiak as their new offensive coordinator to replace the departed Jim Caldwell.

The Baltimore Ravens have announced that they have appointed Gary Kubiak as their new offensive coordinator.

The Ravens were searching for a new coordinator after Jim Caldwell left the club to become the new head coach of the Detroit Lions, while Kubiak was out of coaching for just 52 days after being fired as head coach of the Houston Texans.

"We are excited about the result and cannot wait to get to work," Ravens head coach John Harbaugh told the club's official website.

"After studying many different candidates, we believe our research and our evaluation process have been as thorough as we could make them."

Baltimore were ranked 29th in offense in the NFL in the 2013 season.
