Gary Kubiak not focused on returning to head coach duties

Baltimore Ravens offensive coordinator Gary Kubiak insists that he is fully focused on his new role and not worried about future head coach opportunities.

New Baltimore Ravens offensive coordinator Gary Kubiak has insisted that he is not thinking about becoming a head coach again at the moment.

Kubiak joined the Ravens yesterday after being fired as head coach of the Houston Texans last season during the worst losing streak in the franchise's history.

However, when asked whether he still harboured ambitions of having another go at being a head coach, Kubiak said that he is only interested in his immediate future with the Ravens and helping the team to be successful under John Harbaugh.

"Right now, I want to be the best offensive coordinator I can be. I don't look down the road," Kubiak told reporters.

"I told John when he first called me: 'I want to have a chance to enjoy coaching, teaching and have a chance to win.' I know you would offer all of those opportunities if things worked out."

The Ravens have not ranked in the top 10 in total offense since 1998, the fifth longest streak of its kind in NFL history.
