Atlanta Falcons without Steven Jackson for New York Jets game

Running back Steven Jackson will be out for the second game running for the Atlanta Falcons with a hamstring injury.

The Atlanta Falcons have confirmed they will be without running back Steven Jackson for their clash with the New York Jets.

The 30-year-old has missed Mike Smith's side's last two games against the Miami Dolphins and the New England Patriots with a hamstring injury, both of which ended in defeat for the Falcons.

Jackson missed all of his side's practices this week and as a result was not deemed fit enough to face Rex Ryan's side.

The Falcons are 1-3 going into their week five encounter.
