Bruce Arians has described cutting players that he likes to work with as the "hardest part" of being the Arizona Cardinals' head coach.
The NFC West side released seven players yesterday evening to get their active roster down to 53 players.
Arians hold the team's official website: "You normally cut the guys you like coaching. They are overachievers. They do everything you asked of them.
"They are just not quite good enough. That's the hardest part. Sometimes it's a dream coming to an end."
The Cardinals play the St Louis Rams next Sunday.
