Snooker star Ali Carter has undergone surgery for testicular cancer.
The world number 15 is resting up after the operation and will soon begin a course of chemotherapy.
Carter, who was diagnosed with the disease last week, is back in his Chelmsford home with partner Millie and their three-year-old son.
"Just want to get through this week then I will concentrate on getting better," he wrote on Twitter.
Once ranked as high as number two in the world, Carter reached the World Championship final in 2008 and 2012.
