Castleford Tigers maintain winning start

Castleford Tigers maintain their winning run in the Super League with a 36-31 victory against Wigan Warriors at home.

Castleford Tigers have maintained their winning start to the Super League season with a 36-31 home win against Wigan Warriors.

The visitors were the better side in the first half and led 24-22 at the break, thanks to tries from Matty Bowen, Blake Green, Matty Smith, Tony Clubb and Joe Burgess.

Kirk Dixon, Luke Dorn, Adam Milner and Daryl Clark scored the tries for Castleford in the first period, while Marc Sneyd added the conversions on all three occasions.

The Warriors continued to retain the upper hand in the second half as Smith's drop goal appeared to have proved enough for the victory.

However, Daryl Powell's side made a late rally as Dorn crossed and Sneyd converted it in the final minute to wrap up the win.
