Paris Saint-Germain agree extension to Nike contract

Paris Saint-Germain announce that they have extended their contract with Nike until the 2021-22 season.

Paris Saint-Germain have agreed to extend their contract with sporting manufacturer Nike until the 2021-22 season.

The deal represents a continuation of the relationship between the pair that was established in the 1989-90 campaign.

That original deal saw the club's kits, training wear and sportswear designed by the firm, while the new announcement will be welcomed with an animations display during the match against Lille on Sunday.

Nasser Al Khelaifi, PSG president, was quoted as saying by Goal.com: "We are very proud that Nike, a highly-demanding and selective partner and the number one sport company in the world, has chose to continue the adventure with us.

"This proves they believe in our ambitions. Paris Saint-Germain has now clearly become a member of the very exclusive club of major world teams."

Nike's brand president Trevor Edwards said that he was "delighted" to carry on their working relationship with the French outfit.

"Paris Saint-Germain is one of the most ambitious, forward thinking and innovative sports teams in sport and we are looking forward to the future," he added.

PSG are currently top of Ligue 1.
