Osasuna president Miguel Achanco has insisted that there was not a 'security failure' during his side's La Liga clash with Real Betis on Sunday.
A total of 68 people were injured in the early stages of the contest when a safety barrier collapsed during the celebration of Oriol Riera's 12th-minute goal.
Achanco has said that there was no security breach, but has admitted that there might have been more spectators in that particular section than permitted.
"The security hasn't failed. I won't say there weren't too many people, but we put security guards there and we ask for the tickets... I saw there lots of fans in there, but if you send the security guards in there's an even bigger fuss," he told reporters.
"The responsibility is of each person, there is a risk. Today there was nothing worse than a broken femur, but it could have been a lot worse."
It is understood that 10 people were taken to hospital.
