UFC star Ronda Rousey hopes to change body image standards for women

UFC champion Ronda Rousey says that she wants to change standards of body image for women.

UFC champion Ronda Rousey has claimed that standards of body image for women need to change.

The 28-year-old bantamweight champion is undefeated in 12 professional fights, 11 of which she won in the first round.

In an interview with Self magazine, Rousey said: "I want to see the standards that women hold themselves to change. In terms of looks, I feel like we're given an impossible standard to live up to.

"It should be more diverse and show that every single woman can attain an attractive body just by being as healthy as possible. I don't think that's an impossible goal."

The California-born fighter also claimed that she wants to create a legacy and be mentioned in the same breath as Mike Tyson and Muhammad Ali.
