Tom Champion reveals shirt swap with Michael Carrick

Cambridge United captain Tom Champion swaps shirts with Manchester United midfielder Michael Carrick despite the threat of having to replace his own jersey.

Cambridge United midfielder Tom Champion has ignored a request from manager Richard Money not to swap shirts with a Manchester United player after their FA Cup match on Friday night.

Money had warned his players that they would have to pay £39.99 to replace their jersey should they decide to swap with one of their opponents, but that didn't stop Champion, the Cambridge skipper, from getting his hands on Michael Carrick's shirt.

Cambridge held on to record a 0-0 draw against United to earn a lucrative replay at Old Trafford.
