LCR Honda rider Cal Crutchlow undergoes successful shoulder surgery to remove a plate from his collarbone.

LCR Honda rider Cal Crutchlow has undergone successful surgery on his shoulder in order to remove a plate from his left collarbone.

The 29-year-old had the operation last Friday morning at the Alexandra Hospital in Cheadle after making his Honda debut in Valencia last week.

According to motorcyclenews.com, Crutchlow was also treated for his arthritis in the shoulder and is now recovering at his home in the Isle of Man.

The rider is expected to jet to the United States to attend a winter training camp at the end of November.
