Grayson claims his second title on the PGA Tour by coming through a three-man playoff to win the Sony Open in Hawaii.

Grayson Murray has recorded his second victory on the PGA Tour by coming through a three-man playoff at the Sony Open in Hawaii.

The American has found himself outside of the world's top 100 since his triumph at the Barbasol Championship in 2017, but his success on Sunday has catapulted him up to 46th in the World Golf Rankings.

During the fourth round, Murray only posted three birdies to complement his 15 pars, yet it took getting up and down from 78 yards on the last to seal his spot in a playoff.

He was joined by compatriot Keegan Bradley, who also shot a 67, and An Byeong-Hun after the South Korean registered a round of 64.

However, the playoff would last just one hole, with Murray prevailing despite hitting the worst tee shot of the trio; Murray then holed a put from nearly 39 feet before Bradley and An missed from closer proximity, particularly An who squandered a chance from just over four feet.

On a hotly-contested final day, Carl Yuan and Russell Henley had to settle for a share of fourth after missing out on a playoff by one shot.

J.T. Poston posted a magnificent 61 on the final day, firing in seven birdies and an eagle, but it was only enough for sixth position.

Tyrrell Hatton was the best of the English contingent with a final-round 66 enough to tie for 13th spot.
