Sauber's managing director Monisha Kaltenborn has said that the Swiss team will trust the decision of the FIA regarding the Bahrain Grand Prix.
The race was scrapped last year after an anti-government uprising threatened the safety of the race teams.
Organisers fear a boycott should F1 officials choose to go back to the island kingdom.
However, Kaltenborn has said that her team will respect the decision of the sport's governing body, the FIA.
"We are not in a position to judge it too well," said the 40-year-old.
"So we have to trust the FIA and the commercial rights owners. If they believe it is right to go there, we definitely will."
Lotus team chairman Gerard Lopez has also given his backing to return to the Persian Gulf.
