Formula 1's governing body FIA have confirmed that changes will be made in a bid to prevent accidents like the one suffered by Jules Bianchi from happening again.
The Marussia driver remains in a critical but stable condition at the Mie General Medical Center in Yokkaichi following his crash at the Japanese Grand Prix.
The 25-year-old Frenchman suffered a severe head injury after colliding with a recovery vehicle tending to Adrian Sutil's Sauber at Suzuka last weekend.
In response to the accident, the FIA confirmed in a press conference today that they will discuss numerous changes, one of which will force drivers to slow down more when warning flags appear during dangerous situations on the track.
FIA president Jean Todt said: "We have to learn from what happened, and we will because we cannot be faced with such a situation again. Each life is very important."
It was confirmed on Tuesday that Bianchi has suffered a diffuse axonal injury.
