Ferrari do not expect Robert Kubica to return to Formula 1

Ferrari boss Stefano Domenicali believes that there is no way back for Polish driver Robert Kubica following his rally crash in 2011.

Ferrari boss Stefano Domenicali believes that there will be no return to Formula 1 for Robert Kubica following his rally crash in 2011.

The team were open to hiring the Polish driver if he made a full recovery, but Domenicali feels that it is unlikely to get to that point.

"We were keeping an eye on him," BBC Sport quotes Domenicali as saying. "Unfortunately I don't think he will be back.

"With his physical problem, he would struggle in certain situations which require reactivity. It's a shame."

The 28-year-old's forearm was partially severed in the crash two years ago.
