Preview: Wigan Athletic vs. Yeovil Town

Sports Mole peers ahead to the Championship meeting between Wigan Athletic and Yeovil Town on Tuesday night.

Wigan Athletic can strengthen their place in the Championship's playoffs if they win their seventh straight league game against Yeovil Town on Tuesday night.

Uwe Rosler's Latics have been invincible recently, progressing to the semi-finals of the FA Cup as well as soaring up the league table.

They host lowly Yeovil tomorrow night and look set to close within a couple of points of Derby County in third place.

Leon Barnett scored the second as Ipswich Town became their latest victim on Saturday, but the defender is set to miss out tomorrow after coming off with a hamstring injury. Rob Kiernan should replace him in the starting lineup.

Visitors Yeovil are level with fellow strugglers Charlton Athletic and Barnsley in the bottom three but could climb out of the drop zone with an unlikely win as Millwall have a worse goal difference in 21st.

They will be without Duane Holmes, who returned to parent club Huddersfield Town earlier today, but will be able to welcome back Joe Ralls after suspension.

The reverse fixture between the two back in November went Wigan's way thanks to a goal from Marc-Antoine Fortune.
