Pepe Mel enjoying time at West Bromwich Albion

West Bromwich Albion boss Pepe Mel says that he has enjoyed his first few months in charge of the club.

West Bromwich Albion head coach Pepe Mel has admitted that he has enjoyed his time at the club so far and the relegation battle that his side remain embroiled in.

Mel said that it was no surprise that it has taken a while to get the team playing the way he wants but is confident that they can finish the season strongly and comfortably escape the drop.

"It's normal that when a coach comes in midway through a season, it's because a team has problems," he told Sky Sports News. "No team changes its manager halfway through a season if it's winning everything. We've resolved the issues and I think the end to our season will be a good one.

"Each week we've had a different problem but these problems have been resolved. We will have a successful end. All I want is for West Bromwich Albion to be in the Premier League next season. It is a difficult job but one I love. I love the emotions West Bromwich Albion fans have shown towards me."

West Brom take on Tottenham Hotspur on Saturday afternoon.
