Watford manager Javia Gracia has insisted that forward Richarlison is an important figure for the club, despite the Brazilian's recent absence from the side.
Richarlison has not featured in 21 outings for the Hornets since making an impressive start to life at Vicarage Road with five goals in his first 11 games.
Gracia told reporters at a press conference that Richarlison will continue to have a role in Hertfordshire, despite his replacements in the team finding the net.
"There was no special meaning behind my decision [to drop Richarlison]," the manager said.
"We also have Roberto Pereyra and Kiko [Femenia] who can give us width, and they both scored in our last match, but I'm sure Richarlison will have an important part to play for the team in our next games."
Watford's next game is against Burnley on Saturday.
