Queens Park Rangers defender Ryan Nelsen will take up his managerial duties at Toronto FC on February 1.

Ryan Nelsen will leave Queens Park Rangers to manage Toronto FC on February 1, it has been confirmed.

The 35-year-old was handed the job with the MLS earlier this month, although no date for his arrival in Canada had originally been set.

The Kiwi will play his last game for QPR on January 29 at home to defending Premier League champions Manchester City before heading over the Atlantic to take up his new role with Toronto.
