St Johnstone boss Tommy Wright: 'Giving away late goal was criminal'

St Johnstone boss Tommy Wright expresses his frustration at conceding a late goal against St Mirren.

St Johnstone boss Tommy Wright has criticised his players for giving away a late goal during their 2-1 defeat at home to St Mirren.

Adam Drury netted for the visitors in the 85th minute with the scoreline tied at 1-1, and Wright believes that losing the match so late on was "criminal".

BBC Sport quotes him as saying: "We didn't start the game particularly well. We probably had the best chances in the first half. We weren't happy at half time because we didn't pass it well enough but in the second half we controlled the game.

"The manner we gave the goal away when you're 1-1 with five minutes to go was criminal. We'll get a bit of rest and we'll be ready for Kilmarnock."

The result moves St Mirren up to 10th place in the table, while St Johnstone occupy ninth.
