Tottenham Hotspur boss Mauricio Pochettino admits that Serge Aurier will have a role to play in helping former Paris Saint-Germain teammate Lucas Moura settle in London.

Tottenham Hotspur boss Mauricio Pochettino has admitted that he hopes Serge Aurier can help January signing Lucas Moura settle into life at the North London outfit.

On deadline day, Moura left Paris Saint-Germain to make the switch to Spurs, just six months after Aurier made the same transfer from the Parc des Princes.

Aurier took time to adjust to the Premier League, but Pochettino is confident that the right-back can play a role in helping his former teammate make an impact this season.

At a press conference, the 45-year-old told reporters: "Yes, I think it's important like it was with Moussa Sissoko for Serge when he arrived. To adapt yourself in a new club, a new country, it's so important to have, like he said 'his mate' or 'his brother'.

"It's important, but in the end, our squad is amazing in this aspect. All the players are so good, so nice people. He's been made very welcome and not only Serge is going to help, different players will help out too."

Pochettino has revealed that Moura may not be available to make his debut against Liverpool on Sunday afternoon.
