Jose Baxter leaves Oldham Athletic for Sheffield United

Oldham Athletic striker Jose Baxter leaves the club to sign for League One side Sheffield United for an undisclosed fee.

Sheffield United have completed the signing of Oldham Athletic striker Jose Baxter for an undisclosed fee.

Baxter has signed a three-year deal at Bramall Lane, and Blades boss David Weir is delighted to be able to add the 21-year-old to his squad.

The Scot told the club's official website: "Jose is a player who will get the fans off their seats and I am delighted that he has chosen to come to here."

The former Everton player scored 17 goals in 50 appearances during his time at Boundary Park.
