Shkodran Mustafi 'flattered' by Real Madrid interest

Valencia defender Shkodran Mustafi refuses to distance himself from talk of a move to Real Madrid.

Valencia defender Shkodran Mustafi has revealed that he is 'flattered' to be linked with a move to Real Madrid.

The German's agent recently claimed that his client had attracted interest from both Real Madrid and Barcelona this summer.

Mustafi only joined Valencia last summer - signing a five-year deal with the Spanish club following the 2014 World Cup.

"Right now I'm on holiday, but who wouldn't be happy to have Madrid interested in them. That shows that I had great performances throughout the entire year. There isn't a player who wouldn't be happy," he told Sport1.

The 23-year-old made 33 league appearances for Los Che last season and played a key role in their fourth-place La Liga finish.
