The Scottish Football Association confirm that Rangers' appeal against a £160,000 fine will be heard next Wednesday.

The Scottish Football Association have confirmed that Rangers' appeal against a £160,000 fine will be heard next Wednesday.

The former SPL champions, who have been under administration since February, were hit with a 12-month transfer embargo and substantial fine after being found guilty of breaching five disciplinary rules.

The Glasgow-based outfit have yet to announce a new owner following a number of twists and turns in the takeover process.

American tycoon Bill Miller was the favourite to take charge at Ibrox after being granted preferred bidder status. However, the businessman withdrew his bid five days later.
