Kylian Mbappe says that he is "doing better" than he ever imagined at the age of 18, but remains unsure where his long-term future lies.

Paris Saint-Germain striker Kylian Mbappe has admitted that he "does not know" where he will be playing his football at the end of next season.

The France international, who celebrates his 18th birthday today, is due to turn his loan switch from Monaco to PSG into a permanent move next summer.

Mbappe was also wanted by Zinedine Zidane at Real Madrid earlier this year, but he instead opted for a return 'home' to the French capital and is happy with his career path to date.

"I had some plans for my career, but since nothing has happened as planned an I'm already doing better than I imagined a few months ago, it's difficult to project," he told France Football.

"Where will I be in two years? Frankly, I don't know. But at the end of my career I'm sure I'll end up in the dugout. I think it would be too hard and brutal to stop overnight. I already have my little plans in my head. I would like to start coaching in clubs where I played, like Monaco or Paris."

Mbappe has scored 11 goals and set up 10 more in a combined 19 Ligue 1 and Champions League games since joining the Parisians.
