France have kept a Portugal team featuring Cristiano Ronaldo, Nani and Eder largely quiet in the first half of their friendly at the Jose Alvalade Stadium this evening.
After a quiet opening period which saw both sides enjoy spells of possession without creating anything in front of goal, France were forced into an early change.
The man to be removed was Nabil Fekir, who was replaced by Antoine Griezmann after just 15 minutes on his full international debut.
A burst down the wing from Blaise Matuidi then almost led to Griezmann tapping in the opener, but Rui Patricio was quick off his line to clear the danger.
Karim Benzema then headed Moussa Sissoko's cross straight into the arms of Patricio, before Matuidi wasted the best chance of the half when he fired straight at Patricio from the edge of the area.
