Nicky Ajose 'in St Johnstone's thoughts'

St Johnstone boss Tommy Wright suggests that the Scottish outfit could yet make a move for Peterborough United striker Nicky Ajose.

St Johnstone boss Tommy Wright has suggested that the Scottish outfit could yet offer Peterborough United striker Nicky Ajose a permanent contract.

Ajose, who has been made available for transfer this summer, spent a trial period with the Scottish club last week, but has since returned to London road.

"Nicky Ajose is back away down south now to his club. We are still thinking about him," Wright told Sky Sports News.

The 21-year-old, who started his career at Manchester United, has previously had loan spells with Scunthorpe United, Chesterfield, Crawley Town and Bury.
