Chelsea are reportedly in talks with Borussia Dortmund over a move for Karim Adeyemi.
The 22-year-old has scored five goals and registered five assists in 12 appearances for Dortmund during the 2024-25 campaign, including two goals and three assists in nine Bundesliga outings.
Adeyemi missed a host of football in the first half of the season due to a muscular problem, but he has been back in the fold in recent weeks, last taking to the field as a substitute against Eintracht Frankfurt in the Bundesliga on Friday.
Liverpool are also believed to be keen on the attacker, with a move to the Premier League thought to be on his radar.
According to German journalist Christian Falk, Chelsea are hoping to secure a deal this month, with discussions over a switch for the Germany international currently taking place.
The report claims that BVB would want 'a sizeable fee' for Adeyemi, and it is highly unlikely that he would arrive in January due to the numbers involved, with Chelsea instead looking to get a deal in place for the summer.

Chelsea 'in talks' over Adeyemi move
Napoli are also allegedly interested in the forward, and the Italian outfit have now received a huge cash injection following Khvicha Kvaratskhelia's move to Paris Saint-Germain.
The Italian outfit are also being heavily linked with Manchester United forward Alejandro Garnacho, and it has been claimed that a fresh bid for the Argentina international has been submitted after seeing an opening offer turned down.
To further complicate matters, Garnacho is also on Chelsea's radar, while Dortmund are in talks over a deal for Marcus Rashford.
As a result, it is possible that Man United could indirectly help Chelsea land Adeyemi, should Napoli focus on Garnacho, and Rashford makes the switch to Dortmund as a replacement the current BVB forward.

Why are Chelsea so keen on Adeyemi?
Adeyemi made the move to Dortmund from Red Bull Salzburg in July 2022, and he has represented the German side on 78 occasions, scoring 19 goals and registering 13 assists in the process.
Chelsea are well-stocked in the wide areas, but there is speculation surrounding the futures of Christopher Nkunku and Joao Felix, with the Blues believed to be keen to freshen that area this summer.
Adeyemi has blistering pace and an eye for goal, so it is not difficult to understand why Chelsea are interested, with the forward boasting the skillset to be a very important player in the Premier League.
