Raphael Varane is back in the Manchester United XI for Saturday's Premier League clash with Wolverhampton Wanderers, but Marcus Rashford is out through injury.

Raphael Varane is back in the Manchester United XI for Saturday's Premier League clash with Wolverhampton Wanderers, but Marcus Rashford is out through injury.

Red Devils head coach Erik ten Hag said during his press conference on Friday that Varane had recovered from a foot injury, and the Frenchman comes straight back into the side here.

Rashford, though, misses the contest with a leg injury, meaning that Anthony Martial will lead the line, with Antony and Jadon Sancho featuring in the wide positions.

Luke Shaw switches across to left-back due to Varane's introduction, and there is still no place in the starting side for club captain Harry Maguire.

Alejandro Garnacho returned to the bench for the 1-0 loss to West Ham United last time out, and the Argentine will hope to be involved at some stage on Saturday afternoon.

There are three changes from the side that started the clash with West Ham, as Varane, Martial and Sancho come in for Tyrell Malacia, Wout Weghorst and Rashford.

Man United will be bidding to move four points clear of fifth-placed Liverpool here, with Ten Hag's side now facing serious competition from the Merseyside giants when it comes to a top-four finish.

The headline team news for Wolves involves the goalkeeping spot, as Daniel Bentley makes his first-ever appearance for the club following a move from Bristol City in January.

Matheus Cunha and Diego Costa will again operate as the front two for Julen Lopetegui's side, with Ruben Neves in a strong midfield for the visitors to Old Trafford.

Wolves also have plenty of firepower on their bench this afternoon, with Daniel Podence, Raul Jimenez, Hwang Hee-chan, Pablo Sarabia and Adama Traore all options.

Manchester United: De Gea; Wan-Bissaka, Varane, Lindelof, Shaw; Fernandes, Casemiro, Eriksen; Antony, Martial, Sancho
Subs: Butland, Dalot, Maguire, Malacia, Fred, Pellistri, Garnacho, Weghorst, Elanga

Wolverhampton Wanderers: Bentley; Semedo, Dawson, Kilman, Toti; Nunes, Neves, Lemina, Neto; Cunha, Costa
Subs: Sa, Collins, Jimenez, Podence, Hwang, Sarabia, Gomes, Traore, Bueno
