Premier League in numbers: Week 29

Sports Mole looks back over a depleted weekend of Premier League action with a selection of facts and figures.

West Bromwich Albion 0-3 Manchester United

It was a positive afternoon for Wayne Rooney, who became the first player in Premier League history to record double figures for both goals and assists in five seasons.

What's more, the Man United striker took his tally of goals against West Brom to seven in his last six outings.

Meanwhile, Pepe Mel is still waiting for his first win as manager of the Baggies after seven failed attempts.

Cardiff City 3-1 Fulham

The victory was Cardiff's first by a two-goal margin in the Premier League this season.

It was also just the Welsh side's second win of 2014 - the first of which came against Norwich City at the beginning of February.

As for Fulham, their loanee midfielder Lewis Holtby now has two goals in England's top flight - one for the Cottagers and one against them.

Crystal Palace 0-1 Southampton

Saints striker Jay Rodriguez has scored eight goals away from home this season - a joint-high with Luis Suarez, Daniel Sturridge and Rooney.

On the creative side, Adam Lallana carved out five scoring opportunities for the away side.

Palace, on the other hand, have won just one of their last five encounters.

Norwich City 1-1 Stoke City

Ricky Van Wolfswinkel's wait for a Premier League goal continued against Stoke. Norwich's club-record signing has not found the net since the opening day of the season.

The Canaries have also struggled for goals as a team of late, scoring just six in their last nine matches at Carrow Road.

Jonathan Walters, who drew Stoke level, is the 13th player to have scored a penalty and been sent off in the same Premier League game.

Chelsea 4-0 Tottenham Hotspur

No team can better or match Chelsea's return of 41 points from home matches this term.

Among the goals for the Blues was Samuel Eto'o, who has scored seven times for the club in the Premier League, all of which have come at Stamford Bridge.

Defeated Spurs have a goal difference of zero after 29 matches.
