Sports Mole looks at how Manchester United could line up in Thursday's Premier League clash with Burnley.

Manchester United will be without the services of at least three first-team players for Thursday's Premier League clash with Burnley at Old Trafford.

Paul Pogba will again be absent due to a thigh problem, while Victor Lindelof will miss out, having recently tested positive for coronavirus.

Bruno Fernandes is also out of this match, with the Portugal international picking up his fifth yellow card of the season in the 1-1 draw with Newcastle United on Monday night.

Interim head coach Ralf Rangnick is expected to make changes from the clash at St James' Park, with Donny van de Beek in line to replace Fernandes, while Jadon Sancho could come in for Mason Greenwood.

Edinson Cavani came off the bench to score against Newcastle, and the Uruguay international is also pushing to be involved in the final third of the field alongside Cristiano Ronaldo.

Luke Shaw and Nemanja Matic are among those in contention to come into the side, but Rangnick is unlikely to disturb his midfield two of Fred and Scott McTominay.

The team's 4-2-2-2 formation has struggled against Norwich and Newcastle, but Rangnick is not expected to move away from the lineup here, particularly with Cavani pushing to be involved from the start.

Manchester United possible starting lineup: De Gea; Dalot, Varane, Maguire, Telles; Fred, McTominay; Sancho, Van de Beek; Ronaldo, Cavani
