Jason Puncheon: 'Manchester United defeat tough to take'

Jason Puncheon admits that defeat is tough to take as he feels that he should have had a penalty during Crystal Palace's loss to Manchester United at Selhurst Park.

Jason Puncheon believes that Crystal Palace deserved more following their defeat to Manchester United this evening.

The midfielder levelled for Palace after Juan Mata's opener from the penalty spot, but Marouane Fellaini's second-half header gave United all three points.

Puncheon, who scored from a free-kick, insisted that he should have had a penalty after going down under pressure from Mata.

"Defeat is difficult to take," Puncheon told BBC Sport. I think it was a penalty on me, but these things happen in football.

"It has been a good season for us, we have got to take a lot of credit from the performances against Chelsea and Manchester United."

Palace lost 1-0 to Chelsea last Sunday in a match which saw Jose Mourinho's men crowned champions.
