Jose Mourinho: 'Paul Pogba will continue to improve at Manchester United'

Manchester United manager Jose Mourinho says that midfielder Paul Pogba can still improve as a player after making the switch from Juventus.

Manager Jose Mourinho has described Paul Pogba as a "key part" of the future at Manchester United after he completed a move to Old Trafford.

During the early hours of Tuesday morning, United brought an end to the biggest transfer saga of the summer by announcing that Pogba had signed a five-year deal to return to a club which he left in 2012.

It has been reported that Pogba has left Juventus for a world record transfer fee but Mourinho has insisted that the French international can continue to improve in the North-West.

Mourinho told the club's official website: "Paul is one of the best players in the world and will be a key part of the United team I want to build here for the future.

"He is quick, strong, scores goals and reads the game better than many players much older than he is. At 23, he has the chance to make that position his own here over many years. He is young and will continue to improve; he has the chance to be at the heart of this club for the next decade and beyond."

During his first stint in Manchester, Pogba made just seven substitute appearances in all competitions.
