Manchester United have recorded their ninth win from 10 matches with a 1-0 victory over Leicester City in Sunday's Premier League fixture at the King Power Stadium.

Marcus Rashford's early goal proved to be the difference, with the England international latching onto Paul Pogba's volleyed pass before finishing clinically past Kasper Schmeichel.

However, Leicester arguably deserved a share of the spoils, with Jonny Evans and Jamie Vardy both squandering late opportunities for the Foxes.

Find out how all of the action unfolded in the East Midlands courtesy of Sports Mole's minute-by-minute updates below.

Hello and welcome to Sports Mole's live coverage of the match in the Premier League between Leicester City and Manchester United. The visitors have made the trip to the East Midlands having put together a nine-game unbeaten record, but Leicester have shown this season that they are capable of taking points off the biggest clubs in the top flight. As the teams make their way out, let's take a look at the two starting lineups...

LEICESTER CITY XI: Schmeichel; Pereira, Evans Maguire, Chilwell; Mendy, Ndidi; Gray, Maddison, Barnes; Vardy

MANCHESTER UNITED XI: De Gea; Young, Bailly, Lindelof, Shaw; Herrera, Matic; Lingard, Pogba, Sanchez; Rashford

KICKOFF:  United get us underway!

Bailly has been brought into the starting lineup but the Ivorian has made a shaky start. There was little danger, but the centre-back managed to miscue a back-pass out for a corner.

SHOT!  The resulting set piece from Barnes is a good one, but Ndidi directs a header wide of the far post. It was only a half-chance, but this has been a positive start from the home side.

CHANCE!  However, United should be ahead. Shaw delivers a peach of a cross from the left flank, but Rashford somehow heads over from inside the six-yard box. As headers go, it was a sitter.

The visitors are beginning to pile on the pressure. A free kick from the right leads to a corner, which is played short to Rashford. The striker drills a cross into the six-yard box and Schmeichel has to stick out a leg in order to prevent a tap-in for Sanchez.

GOAL!  Leicester City 0-1 Manchester United (Marcus Rashford)

United are well up for this. Pereira passes the ball straight to Pogba, who instantly sends a quite brilliant weighted pass over the top of the Leicester defence and Rashford takes a touch before drilling a shot into the bottom corner from 12 yards out. Great goal.

Leicester had not started all that badly, but United are playing at such a pace when they get on the ball. The Foxes currently have no answers.

The home side are attempting to play on the front foot when in possession, but they have to be guarded against the United counter. Sanchez almost found himself one on one with Evans after the Foxes lost the ball.

CHANCE!  What. A. Tackle. The ball runs kindly for Maddison who should probably score from around 14 yards out, but Shaw dives in to make a goal-saving block on the slide.

We are having a break in play while Maddison and Rashford both receive treatment, although the pair should be fine to continue.

The stoppage has resulted in the early intensity being lost, but both sides could probably do with a bit of a breather. It's been an exciting start to this game.

YELLOW CARD!  Lingard goes into the book for a foul on Maddison, who was looking to break away from his own penalty area.

Leicester have responded positively to going behind. United still pose a huge threat but as far as general play is concerned, the home side are more than matching the in-form visitors.

That said, the Foxes are being sloppy in possession at times. Schmeichel has just gifted United the ball back with a pass intended for Pereira.

SHOT!  Maddison tries his luck with his weaker left foot from around 20 yards, but De Gea is able to make the easy save.

Things have certainly quietened down over the last five or 10 minutes. Leicester are content with trying to keep hold of the ball, and United are more than happy to play on the counter.

United put together a neat move from side to side, but the end result is a Lingard effort which is deflected into the hands of Schmeichel.

YELLOW CARD!  Vardy is booked for a late challenge on Lindelof on the touchline. That is the correct punishment, but the Leicester man has to be careful.

United soak up the pressure before Pogba unleashes a long volleyed pass in a bid to get Lingard involved down the left. It's a foot race with Maguire, who just about manages to get the ball back to Schmeichel.

United are beginning to sit extremely deep when Leicester have the ball. Rashford is finding himself about 40 yards from his own goal.

CHANCE!  Leicester have been causing a frequent threat from inswinging corners from the left, and they almost equalise when Evans beats Bailly to head marginally wide of the far post.

This is a waste. Young collects a pass from Bailly and gets the better of Chilwell, but his ball inside to Lingard is poor and Leicester win a goal kick.

YELLOW CARD!  The third booking of the game goes to Matic, who pulls back Pereira who was about to advance down the right wing.

SHOT!  This is ambitious from Barnes, but it is still a good effort. The ball falls invitingly to him around 35 yards out, but the youngster curls marginally wide of the far post. De Gea had it covered.

YELLOW CARD!  Another yellow card - this time for Mendy. The midfielder goes in strong and late on Herrera, who is fortunate to avoid an injury.

SHOT!  Another Leicester mistakes gives Rashford a chance to shoot from 25 yards, but Schmeichel comfortably deals with his low strike. There will be three minutes of added-on time.

SHOT!  The ball falls invitingly for Pereira from distance, but the right-back volleys straight at De Gea.

HALF TIME:  Leicester City 0-1 Manchester United

The half-time whistle goes at the King Power Stadium and United lead thanks to that early goal from Rashford. Leicester have had their moments, but they have so far failed to carve out a real clear-cut opportunity.

United's goal was impressive, but it came as a result of a misplaced pass from Pereira. Pogba capitalised with a perfectly-weighted ball through to Rashford who produced a clinical finish into the bottom corner from 12 yards out. It was a great response given that Rashford had missed a sitter moments beforehand.

Here are the substitutes available to Puel and Solskjaer...

LEICESTER CITY: Ward, Fuchs, Morgan, Choudhury, Ghezzal, Okazaki, Iheanacho

MANCHESTER UNITED: Romero, Dalot, Jones, Fred, Mata, Martial, Lukaku

KICKOFF:  Leicester get us back underway.

The home side go straight onto the attack and Barnes manages to flash a low pass across the six-yard box. It had no chance of finding a teammate.

United haven't really got going at the start of this second half. The Leicester midfield are dominating the ball and a cross from the left almost finds its intended target. Leicester win a corner but it comes to nothing.

The visitors broke forward straight after the set piece, but a poor pass from Rashford failed to find Sanchez. A missed opportunity.

Pogba has picked up a knock after a coming together with Evans. It looks a painful one, but he will be fine to continue.

This game has gone a bit flat again now. Both teams are working hard in the middle of the pitch, but the chances are not following.

Pogba has just misplaced a pass which could have led to a chance, and he's frustrated with himself. It's not been the best few minutes for the midfielder.

SHOT!  Rashford is presented with the chance to shoot from 20 yards out, but he pulls his effort wide. Mendy pulled down Pogba in the build-up - right on the edge of the area - and the Leicester man can count himself fortunate to avoid a second yellow card.

SHOT!  So close for Leicester. Maddison's free kick is blocked but the ball falls to Vardy, whose overhead kick needs to be kept out by De Gea at the second attempt.

SUBSTITUTION! Leicester make a change and surprisingly, Maddison is being brought off with Ghezzal being introduced in his place. The alteration is greeted by a chorus of boos...

It may not be long before we see a change from Solskjaer. Sanchez has not had the most effective of games, but United still lead thanks to that early strike from Rashford.

SUBSTITUTION! Yep, that is how it has turned out. Martial is the man brought on for the Chilean.

Leicester go onto the attack as soon as play resumes, and Young has to react at the back post to prevent Gray meeting a cross.

SHOT!  The Foxes keep up the pressure and good work from Vardy leads to Barnes taking on a shot from the side of the penalty area, but the youngster cannot get enough curl on his attempt and De Gea is able to watch the ball go wide.

Ghezzal's first opportunity to make an impression ends with the winger attempting to do too much with the ball, leading to him being dispossessed.

United manage to get forward with Pogba and Young keeping hold of the ball on the right, but the latter's cross was poor.

SUBSTITUTION! A second change for Leicester sees Okazaki take the place of Gray.

SHOT!  What a strike this is. Ghezzal is given responsibility for a free kick around 25 yards out, and De Gea has to dive to his right to prevent the ball from finding his top left-hand corner.

SUBSTITUTION! Solskjaer makes his second change with Lukaku being introduced for Rashford.

YELLOW CARD!  Shaw is the latest player to go into the book for a blatant block on Pereira.

CHANCE!  It should probably be 1-1. From the resulting set piece, Evans is given the chance to volley home from no more than 10 yards out, but the former United man completely misses his kick and the visitors clear.

YELLOW CARD!  Yet another yellow card. Ghezzal slides in late on Martial in the United penalty area, and it is an easy decision for the referee.

SUBSTITUTION! Leicester's final switch sees Iheanacho take the place of Mendy.

Matic is extremely fortunate to avoid a dismissal. The Serbian's challenge on Barnes isn't the most aggressive, but it's high and late.

SHOT!  Lukaku has not been involved since his introduction, but the Belgian forces Schmeichel into action to his left with a well-struck shot from the edge of the area.

CHANCE!  Leicester continue to knock on the door. Barnes gets the better of Bailly down the left and tees up Vardy from 15 yards, but the forward can get no power on his first-time effort and De Gea makes an easy save.

SUBSTITUTION! United make their final change with Jones being thrown on for Lingard.

There will be four minutes of added-on time.

YELLOW CARD!  Pogba picks up the ball in his own half before advancing forward, and it leads to Ndidi being forced to pull the midfielder down.

CHANCE!  Leicester continue to plough forward and one final opportunity falls to Maguire at the back post, but the defender can only send his shot wide of the far post. It was a difficult chance.

FULL TIME:  Leicester City 0-1 Manchester United

The full-time whistle goes at the King Power Stadium and United have held on to register another win in the Premier League. Rashford's early goal proved to be the difference as Solskjaer registers his ninth win from 10 games.

That will be all from Sports Mole's for this match. Thank you for joining us this afternoon, and we hope that you can stick around for the game involving Manchester City and Arsenal. Goodbye for now.
