Manchester City team news: Injury, suspension list vs. Burnley

Sports Mole rounds up all of Manchester City's latest injury and suspension news ahead of Wednesday's Premier League clash with Burnley.

Manchester City will be out to win their 13th game in a row across all competitions when they travel to Turf Moor to take on Burnley in the Premier League on Wednesday evening.

Pep Guardiola's men were unable to produce a goal-laden performance against Sheffield United, but Gabriel Jesus's early goal was enough to sink the Blades in a 1-0 win on Saturday afternoon.

That result extended Man City's lead at the top of the table to three points over closest challengers Manchester United - who lost more ground on Guardiola's men after drawing 0-0 at Arsenal a few hours after City beat Sheffield United.

Here, Sports Mole rounds up all of Man City's latest injury and suspension news ahead of Wednesday's game.

Kevin De Bruyne

Status: Out
Type of injury: Hamstring
Possible return date: February 27 (vs. West Ham United)

Kevin De Bruyne suffered a hamstring injury in January's win over Aston Villa and will remain on the sidelines for at least another three weeks, so he will miss February's showdowns with Liverpool, Tottenham Hotspur and Arsenal.

Sergio Aguero

Status: Out
Type of injury: Coronavirus
Possible return date: Unknown

Having already been forced to self-isolate as a precaution, Sergio Aguero recently returned a positive coronavirus test. However, the Argentine revealed on Sunday that he has now recovered and will return to team training "soon", but he is not expected to be ready for Wednesday.

Nathan Ake

Status: Out
Type of injury: Muscular
Possible return date: Unknown

Nathan Ake continues to struggle with an ongoing muscular problem and was not ready to make his comeback against Sheffield United. Wednesday's game will also likely come too soon for the Dutchman.

MANCHESTER CITY'S SUSPENSION LIST

Man City have no suspension concerns for Wednesday's game.
