Manchester City manager Pep Guardiola confirms that Kevin De Bruyne and Vincent Kompany have been ruled out for up to three weeks due to injury.

Manchester City midfielder Kevin De Bruyne has been ruled out for up to three weeks with a hamstring injury, club manager Pep Guardiola has confirmed.

The 25-year-old pulled up in the 81st minute of Saturday's 3-1 win over Swansea City at Liberty Stadium and had to be substituted.

Guardiola also confirmed that club captain Vincent Kompany will be out for two to three weeks after he suffered muscle fatigue in the EFL Cup clash against Swansea last week.

With both players in Barcelona receiving treatment from Dr Ramon Cugat, Guardiola told Sky Sports News: "Kevin is not a big injury. In two and a half or three weeks, maybe, he will be ready.

"Dr Cugat is the best doctor in the world and, with him, we know we are so safe."

Man City's next fixture is on Wednesday night in the Champions League against Celtic in Glasgow.
