Liverpool announce first home pre-season friendly in four years

Liverpool will face Italian side Torino in a rare friendly at Anfield on August 7 in the Reds' final pre-season outing.

Liverpool will face Serie A side Torino this summer in their first pre-season fixture at Anfield in four years.

The August 7 clash will round off the Reds' preparations ahead of their first Premier League match against West Ham United four days later.

Liverpool have never previously faced Torino and have not staged a friendly on home soil since facing Borussia Dortmund - then managed by Jurgen Klopp - in 2014.

Before welcoming the Maroons to Merseyside, Klopp's men will take on Dortmund, Manchester City and Manchester United in the International Cup.

Liverpool also have friendlies against Chester, Tranmere Rovers, Bury, Blackburn Rovers and Napoli pencilled in.
