Dietmar Hamann: Liverpool were "underwhelming"

Liverpool's display during their 0-0 draw away at Augsburg was "underwhelming", according to the club's former midfielder Dietmar Hamann.

Dietmar Hamann has said that his former side Liverpool were "underwhelming" during their 0-0 draw away at Augsburg in the Europa League this evening.

The travelling Reds dominated the contest in terms of possession and attempts, but they rarely worked Marwin Hitz in the home goal.

Taking to Twitter after the final whistle, Hamann admitted that he was not impressed by the performance of Jurgen Klopp's men.

"Augsburg good value for the draw. As for LFC, pretty underwhelming I'd say," he wrote.

The two sides will meet for the second leg at Anfield next Thursday.
