Leicester City boss Claude Puel: 'I will pick strong team for FA Cup'

Leicester City manager Claude Puel suggests that he will not make mass changes for the club's FA Cup fifth-round tie with Sheffield United on Friday night.

Leicester City manager Claude Puel has suggested that he will select a "strong" starting lineup for the FA Cup fifth-round tie with Sheffield United.

During the EFL Cup and the early rounds of the FA Cup, Puel has made numerous changes to teams previously selected in the Premier League.

However, with the club just two victories away from a Wembley semi-final, Puel has indicated that he will not fully rotate his squad for the visit of the Championship outfit.

At a press conference, the 56-year-old told reporters: "Of course it will be a crucial game for us and I will pick a team to win. We want to get as far as we can in the cup and it will be a strong team, like the last was.

"Many teams can win the cup, of course it is a tough competition and the next game against Sheffield United they will be tough.

"They are a good team it is important to respect any opponent, to see the final you have to play and expect any opponent to be strong."

Puel could hand Riyad Mahrez his first start since returning to the club after a week-long absence after the breakdown of a potential move to Manchester City.
