Scottish League Two roundup: Abroath win to go clear

Sports Mole rounds up all the action from Scottish League Two where Arbroath extend their lead at the top of the table.

Arbroath strolled to a 4-0 victory over Clyde thanks to a brace from Simon Murray, a Paul McManus penalty and a strike from Bobby Linn.

The result moves the Red Lichties three points clear at the top of the table as second-placed Queen's Park were beaten by Albion Rovers thanks to Scott Chaplain's second-half goal.

Dennis Wyness's effort cancelled out Kevin Smith's fifth goal of the season as Elgin City earned a point against East Fife.

However, Elgin are now four points adrift at the bottom of the table as a result of big wins for East Stirlingshire and Berwick Rangers.

Two goals from David McKenna and further strikes from Luke Donnelly and Max Wright gave Craig Tully's side a comprehensive 4-0 victory over Montrose.

Meanwhile, second-half efforts from Darren Lavery and Lee Currie gave Berwick a 2-0 win over Annan Athletic that moves Colin Cameron's side away from trouble.

Results in full: Arbroath 4-0 Clyde, Berwick Rangers 2-0 Annan Athletic, East Fife 1-1 Elgin City, East Stirlingshire 4-0 Montrose, Queen's Park 0-1 Albion Rovers
