Crewe Alexandra accept an offer from Blackburn Rovers for midfielder Luke Murphy, according to reports.

Blackburn Rovers have had a bid accepted for Crewe Alexandra midfielder Luke Murphy, according to reports.

It was thought that Wolverhampton Wanderers had been close to securing the signing of the 23-year-old, after they had a bid accepted earlier this week.

However, according to BBC Radio Lancashire, Blackburn have rivalled the offer for Murphy.

The Crewe academy graduate is expected to make a decision regarding his future over the weekend.
