Liverpool and Chelsea meet for the second time in three days on Tuesday following Saturday's enthralling FA Cup final. Sports Mole looks ahead to the Anfield fixture.

Liverpool and Chelsea will lock horns once again in the league on Tuesday, just three days after their pulsating FA Cup final.

Roberto Di Matteo's Blues came out on top at Wembley 2-1 thanks to goals either side of the break from Ramires and Wembley-specialist Didier Drogba.

Chelsea are still clinging on to a slim hope of finishing fourth but that may be extinguished before they kick off on Tuesday if Spurs and Newcastle collect three points this afternoon.

Liverpool's league season, on the other hand, is effectively over but they will still be keen to get some revenge for losing the cup at the weekend.

They are still however looking to finish above Merseyside neighbours Everton and Kenny Dalglish will wonder whether to start Andy Carroll after the big Englishman changed Saturday's final after coming on as a substitute.

Di Matteo will still be without centre-back duo David Luiz and Gary Cahill, while up front the Italian must decide whether to play Fernando Torres against his former club.

Current league form:

Liverpool: LDWLLW
Chelsea: WWDDWL

Possible lineups:

Liverpool: Reina; Johnson, Skrtel, Agger, Enrique; Maxi, Gerrard, Spearing, Downing; Suarez, Carroll

Chelsea: Cech; Bosingwa, Ivanovic, Terry, Cole; Mikel, Lampard, Ramires, Mata; Sturridge, Torres

Sports Mole says: 1-3
