David Jones: 'Time running out for Burnley to avoid relegation'

Burnley midfielder David Jones remains confident that his side can retain their Premier League status this season, despite being cut eight points from safety.

David Jones has vowed that he and his Burnley teammates will fight right until the death this season, despite their Premier League survival hopes being left hanging by a thread.

The Clarets find themselves bottom of the table and eight points from safety following four successive defeats.

Their latest setback came against West Ham United this afternoon, with Mark Noble's first-half penalty proving the difference at Upton Park.

Speaking to Sky Sports News after the match, Jones said: "We're running out of games, there are only three games remaining and we've just got to keep sticking at it and try and find a winning formula and we can't really worry about anyone else.

"We need to try and turn in some decent performances to try and get that little extra something that gets you wins in this league. It's going to be difficult but we've got to do it.

"I still feel we've got enough to affect games and get results. We'll be going to Hull and giving it our all. That's all we can do. We're still fighting and we've got three games left to fight in."

Burnley face Hull City, Stoke City and Aston Villa in their final three games.
