Julio Cesar: Brazil World Cup defeat "inexplicable"

Brazil's 7-1 defeat to Germany in the World Cup semi-final was "inexplicable", according to Julio Cesar.

Brazil keeper Julio Cesar has branded his team's 7-1 defeat to Germany in the World Cup semi-final "inexplicable".

The Selecao found themselves 5-0 down before the half-hour mark, and the Queens Park Rangers shot-stopper suggested that his colleagues hadn't recovered from Thomas Muller's 11th-minute opener.

Cesar told reporters: "After the first goal we just had a blackout, nobody expected it.

"Honestly, it's hard to explain. You can't explain the inexplicable."

The result represents the biggest margin of defeat for Brazil since losing to Uruguay in 1920.
