Paraguay beat Brazil 4-3 on penalties to book a place in the semi-finals of the Copa America after the clash in Concepcion finished 1-1 in regulation.

Robinho fired the Selecao into a 1-0 half-time lead, but Derlis Gonzalez's emphatically-dispatched second-half penalty got Ramon Diaz's men back on level terms to force a shootout.

There, Paraguay converted four of their five penalties with aplomb - with Roque Santa Cruz firing over the bar - to book a date with Argentina next week.
