League One roundup: Wolverhampton Wanderers ease to win

Sports Mole rounds up all the action from League One this afternoon.

Wolverhampton Wanderers have maintained their surge towards promotion to the Championship with a 3-2 home victory over Swindon Town.

Kenny Jackett's side got the better of their opponents 3-2 at Molineux, thanks to goals from Scott Golbourne, Kevin Doyle and Kevin Foley.

However, Wolves remain second in the league table as Leyton Orient are top with a 3-2 victory over Port Vale at home, David Mooney with two goals for the hosts.

Peterborough United continued their positive start to the season as they got the better of Bristol City 3-0 at Ashton Gate, thanks to a strike from Tyrone Barnett and a Britt Assombalonga brace. There were also wins for Preston North End, MK Dons, Brentford and Rotherham United.

Elsewhere in League One on Saturday, Carlisle United beat Sheffield United 1-0 at home, Crewe Alexandra went down 3-0 to Walsall in front of their own supporters and Bradford City played out a 2-2 draw with Colchester United at the Coral Windows Stadium.
