Santos forward Neymar has expressed his gratitude towards Barcelona for their reported interest in him.
The Brazilian has been heavily linked with a number of European clubs and recent reports have suggested that the La Liga leaders are edging closer to securing the 21-year-old's services.
Neymar told Sport.es: "Who is not a fan of Barcelona?
"I'm happy and I appreciate their affection and support. Regardless of whatever team I sign for, I'm one of the happiest people in the world."
However, Neymar was keen to play down suggestions about a possible move to Europe.
"When my family and I are ready, we will be happy to speak, but for now I ask for calm," he added.
Neymar has been capped 31 times by Brazil.
